ALS Lifeguards return to Tallebudgera Creek

The Australian Lifeguard Service (ALS) have recommenced patrol and rescue services at Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast.

Surf Life Saving Queensland’s professional lifeguard arm will patrol every day at Tallebudgera Creek from 8am to 5pm across the school holiday period, and then every weekend through to the start of the volunteer patrol season in September.

While Tallebudgera Creek is a great recreational area for swimming and to picnic, the area has previously been identified by SLSQ as a black spot that required extended patrolling.

Last season (September – April) volunteer surf lifesavers and professional lifeguards patrolling Tallebudgera Creek combined to perform more than 3,200 preventative actions and save some 146 lives in the process.
