Following an extensive recruitment and selection process, Surf Life Saving Queensland is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Directors to its Board
Grant Dearlove has been appointed as an Independent Director of SLSQ. Grant brings significant experience to the role, having enjoyed a diverse Executive and Board career.
He is legally qualified, has been actively involved in the NFP and NGO sectors for many years, and enjoys a strong profile in Queensland business and government circles.
He has a unique connection to SLSQ through his father, Jack Dearlove, who was a Life Member of SLSQ and an icon within the surf lifesaving movement.
Grant is excited by the opportunity to give back to the community through an organisation that has been so important to his life and his family.
Allison Muller has also been appointed as an Independent Director of SLSQ. Ally is a highly‐motivated entrepreneur, with strong skills and experience across business growth, corporate finance, capital‐raising, and investment management.
She is a Director on commercial boards and is highly‐skilled across small business and corporate governance practices.
Ally is excited by the prospect of working with, and helping, such an iconic organisation.
Brad Russell has been appointed to fill a casual vacancy as an Elected Director of SLSQ. Brad is an active member of Maroochydore SLSC and brings strong on‐ and off‐beach experience to the role.
He is a lawyer by trade, and has also enjoyed a diverse Executive and Board career. He has particular expertise in risk management and insurance, and has been an innovator in the law and when it comes to achieving commercial outcomes for clients.
Brad has a long personal and family involvement in surf lifesaving, having been a member at Emu Park, Yeppoon, Northcliffe, and Maroochydore SLSCs.
