Little Lifesavers programs scoop international awards

Two of Surf Life Saving Queensland’s community awareness programs for kids have been recognised with International What’s On 4 Junior Awards, presented at a ceremony on the Gold Coast at the weekend.

The state-wide Little Lifesavers program took the gong for Best Not for Profit Community Activity for Children, while a pilot Children with Challenges Nippers program held earlier this year on the Sunshine Coast won for Best Activity for Children with Additional Needs.

The International What’s On 4 Junior Awards recognise the very best in children’s activities, classes, clubs, volunteers and party entertainers across Australia as voted by parents.

The SLSQ Community Awareness team delivers important safety messages to over 500,000 people across the state each year. These awards are fantastic recognition of the quality of the programs.
