Tiffany’s keys to success as Summer Surf Girl

Marcoola surf lifesaver Tiffany Di Ianni has a busy road ahead as she takes on the role of Surf Life Saving Queensland’s newest ambassador after being named 2015 Summer Surf Girl.

As part of her winner’s prize, Tiffany was presented with a new Holden Barina from  Zupps Mt Gravatt Holden & HSV at the weekend.

“Receiving the keys to the major winner’s prize was very exciting, and you certainly won’t miss me driving around Marcoola now!” Tiffany said.

“This will definitely make it easier to get to all my new commitments as the 2015 Summer Surf Girl, which will include mentoring young volunteer surf lifesavers and promoting women in the Surf Life Saving movement.”

Zupps Mt Gravatt Holden & HSV dealer principal Jordi Blanco was pleased to present Tiffany with her new keys.

“We congratulate Tiffany on her outstanding work, and trust that she is enjoying her new Barina,” Mr Blanco said.

“We look forward to many years ahead with a successful partnership with the Summer Surf Girl program and Surf Life Saving Queensland.”

Tiffany was announced winner at a Gala Ball held at Jupiters Hotel & Casino on Saturday 2 May, beating 13 other young women from around the state. She raised $77,958.20 for her surf lifesaving club, with the 14 entrants raising a collective total of $792,013.93.

SLSQ chief operating officer and chairman of the judging panel George Hill said Tiffany was chosen based on her fundraising initiatives, commitment to community education and surf lifesaving knowledge, and will now begin her year as an official ambassador for SLSQ.

“Tiffany was really the standout throughout all aspects of the final judging, demonstrating her commitment to lifesaving and to the Summer Surf Girl program,” Mr Hill said.

“We are confident that Tiffany will take on her role over the next 12 months as an ambassador for surf lifesaving with the same passion and commitment she demonstrated during the program. SLSQ looks forward to working with Tiffany over the next year.”

This year marked the 51st year of Summer Surf Girl, which has become one of SLSQ’s largest and most enduring club-based fundraising initiatives.
